  • We appreciated the cleanliness of our hotels and rooms. Eating places were suitable. Personal Guide Services – India’s choice of itinerary after Kodai turned out to be most enjoyable - we could not have chosen better ourselves. And Srinivas was an excellent choice. He took pride in keeping his vehicle clean and this was much appreciated. We thank Harold and Rahul again for the effort put in to take our preferences into account.

  • We want to thank you both very much for organising and running our trip to India in November and December 2006. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the places we visited, the accommodation, the food and the travelling arrangements all contributed to a great tour. Our request for a slightly higher standard of accommodation this time was easily met, with the suite in Darjeeling, the individual cottages on the back waters of Kumarakom and the private beach front at Kovalam, made for memorable highlights. It was nice to meet up with Harold again for the first part of the tour. Graeme particularly enjoyed taking pictures whilst "door hanging" on the trains with him. Rahul was his usual excellent self, being thoroughly prepared by checking out the trip before hand when making the arrangements and was again excellent as our guide - he was responsive to our requests and needs, and looked after us very well. Rahul's choice of drivers and vehicles was great, especially Srinivas who spent the last three weeks driving us and Cheryl's parents from Bangalore onwards. Travelling by road is always interesting as you see more of the local life along the roads compared to train travel. However, our train travel was also enjoyable, especially the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway journey and seeing the little steam engines working the local services at the top section of the track was a really great bonus. We also want to thank Personal Guide Services - India for the choice of places down south, which replaced our original plan to visit Sri Lanka (which we eventually decided against). Having travelled twice before with Rahul, he has a good understanding of the types of places we like to see and visit and the things we like to do. In retrospect there are very few things we would have changed. However, one thing we should have done was to go direct to Hyderabad from NJP instead of first going back to Calcutta again. We then would have had an extra day to look around Hyderabad. Also, we would have stayed a few more days in southern India if we knew how nice it was and might revisit there again some time. Thank you both once again.

  • Firstly, a great big thank you for the personal & professional manner in which you both conducted yourselves in assisting us put together our inaugural trip to India. Given our specific requirements & our want to make it children friendly.. thanks for accommodating us so well. Rahul, special thanks for going out of your way in making our children your friends.. they speak fondly of you & the great times we had. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip (we are still exhausted & recovering from it!!) and will never forget the sights and the friendships we formed. There were many highlights which we have fondly recollected many times already (& had a good laugh too!!). Sariska monkey “attack”, the dosa meal in Delhi, Dalbir’s “I love my India”, seeing the Taj in the early morning light, the freezing Tiger Hill sunrise (& beautiful tasty potato pakoras, on the way down the hill!!), the pearls on the beach @ Puri, the guide’s lectures at the Sun Temple, the l-o-n-g train trips & playing games/cards with Rahul, the chocolate surprises which pepped up the children when they were feeling down, the beautiful animals at the zoo at Darjeeling, the lost keys adventure (still unsolved!!), .. the list goes on and on. Pray that all is well with you both. God bless you in this special ministry you both do. If we can assist you in anyway please do not hesitate in letting us know.

  • We wish to thank you both again for your efforts in planning and running our personal Tour of Incredible India in October 2005. Unlike our previous Tour, most of our travel was by road and this proved to be quite “interesting” as we were getting accustomed to their way of driving, but it was an enjoyable experience and we saw more of the country and local life. We embarked on a train journey from Delhi to Shimla and the last leg from Kalka on the Toy Train to Shimla was especially appreciated given the scenic sights of the foothills of the Himalayas. We passed through 101 tunnels, an engineering feat in itself. Our Personal Guide Rahul, looked after our needs very well. He was very flexible and accommodating to any fine tuning we wished to make on the day’s activities and also advised on things we could do in each specific location. Rahul was always looking out for our welfare as well which gave us peace of mind. We felt the effects of the earthquake in Islamabad while in our hotel in Shimla and immediately he was at our door to see if all was well. It was an experience we could have done without, but was outside anyone’s control. As in 2003, we once again thoroughly enjoyed our Personally Guided Tour and appreciated the time spent with Rahul whose fine attention to detail and accommodating of our requests ensured our Tour was a memorable, trouble free and an enjoyable experience. We look forward to Touring with Personal Guide Services – India again.

  • Regarding our recent trip to India we like to express our appreciation for our two guides Harold and Rahul. Without their skilful guidance it would have been next to impossible for us to visit all the places we did. Their caring and helpful ways made our trip enjoyable and memorable and we now consider both of them our friends.

  • My cousins from Australia Heather and Kendrick Killoway and their daughter and son in-law met us in Singapore. Together we arrived in New Delhi, met by our guides Rahul and Harold. Harold an Anglo-Indian from Australia, Rahul an Indian living in Dehra Dun. Both men spoke fluent Hindi. Both were a great asset. These men knew in every way how to take care of us. Both men were very friendly and caring. That is the way to travel! The whole trip was checked out before we arrived, including each hotel we stayed in. The evening before we left Mussoorie the 2 guides had arranged a surprise birthday party for me after sunset, complete with a bon fire and cake on the patio overlooking Spring Road and part of town and the valleys. It could not be more beautiful. It was with nostalgia we left next morning. On the whole we really enjoyed this trip.

  • We wish to thank you and your Indian associate, Rahul Hundoo, for your time and effort in arranging the customised itinerary for our recent trip to India, and for your excellent guide services as we travelled with you in India. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Our trip was made much easier with yourselves handling details such as hotel forms, porters at the stations, communicating with the locals, and visits to the various forts/palaces etc. We particularly liked having the two of you as guides in India as this provided some flexibility when people wanted to go in more than one direction. The obvious one was when porters/luggage went one way, and passengers went another way. It also helped when shopping, as six of us required your bargaining skills at the same time. It also helped us as tourists to feel safer with two of you looking out for us. Because there were two of you, it also meant that one was always available to answer queries when the other one was tied up with formalities. Our road travel gave us some interesting times and experiences, but also gave us a good opportunity to see the "real India". Dogs, dust and diesel fumes; cows, carts and heat; traffic jams, road detours and close shaves with other vehicles of all types, all contributed to the fun of travel and driving Indian style. Even the thrilling auto rickshaws of Delhi, and the Mussoorie-Naini Tal trek provided us with some exciting times. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We found both yourself and Rahul to be great people to work with, always flexible and accommodating of our requests, helpful at all times in looking after our needs, and having a good sense of humour. We would have no hesitation in recommending to people any future trips you run, and would be interested in travelling in India again with you.
